Born and raised in Blytheville, Arkansas, Mary Alice grew up inspired by the teachings of her grandmother, Lila Henry, and by the experience of sharing a home with her six siblings.

She later attended Cotton Boll Vocational School and earned her Certified Nursing Assistant license. Today, she resides in Sherwood, Arkansas, where faith in God and family gatherings remain central to her life.
